A leading building society is looking for an Indirect Tax Manager to oversee all indirect tax matters across the Group. This role involves providing expert advice, managing the relationship with HMRC, and promoting tax awareness within the organization. The ideal candidate will be a Chartered Tax Adviser with extensive experience and a proven track record in indirect taxation.
We have a new opportunity for an Indirect Tax Manager to take responsibility for all indirect tax matters across the Group and to manage the Group’s indirect tax relationship with HMRC.
Reporting into the Head of Tax, the Indirect Tax Manager will provide specialist advice and guidance and ensure timely and accurate tax reporting is produced in line with applicable policies/regulations and with strong internal controls. The person in post will also be responsible for identifying VAT risks and opportunities and will work with business areas to minimise risks and take advantage of the opportunities.
The Indirect Tax Manager will promote awareness of indirect tax across the Group, influencing and managing the business’ expectations in relation to indirect taxes. The role holder will provide practical tax direction for the business to ensure indirect tax is taken into consideration in decision-making.
