Job description

K3TA is a growing tax advisory business that was launched in 2021 as part of the K3 Capital Group of professional services. We are focused on transaction, restructuring, and advisory work and are a leading provider of tax advice to the mid-market transactions sector. As part of our mission to grow our team of skilled tax advisers, we are looking to welcome an experienced Indirect Tax (VAT) Manager for primarily advisory-focused work.

The K3 Capital Group, part of the Sun Capital Group of Companies, works alongside M&A, corporate recovery, tax investigation, forensic accounting, transaction services, data, technology, and R&D teams. The K3 Capital Group operates across 23 UK offices and several overseas locations and continues to grow through the acquisition of complementary businesses.

K3TA is now looking for an enthusiastic Indirect Tax professional, skilled in advising a broad range of businesses, from sole proprietors to large corporates, who is keen to move their career forward. Experience of a broad range of Indirect Tax subjects, including for international transactions, will be helpful, as will a desire to research and analyze the application of VAT across all industry sectors. There will be scope to develop industry sector specialist knowledge as you grow, also working alongside one of the UK's leading Travel Industry sector specialists.

Core responsibilities:

1. Providing advice and support on a wide range of clients.
2. Working alongside Directors or Managing Directors, seeing projects through from initial advice to execution.
3. Working on a number of projects, undertaking tasks such as researching tax issues, drafting tax reports, undertaking due diligence reviews, reviewing transaction step plans, preparing clearance applications, and other submissions.
4. Developing and managing client relationships, building rapport with service buyers, and helping the Indirect Tax Director to develop the Indirect Tax service line.
5. Effective client financial management, WIP, Billing, etc.

You’ll be:

1. Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) or ACA/ACCA qualified, with at least 2 years PQE.
2. Experienced working within an Indirect Tax (VAT) advisory context.
3. An existing Indirect Tax Manager looking to progress to Senior Manager.
