Join this Internationally focused Team as a an Indirect Tax Analyst

Global Technology business is seeking a detail-oriented professional with at least 1 years of relevant experience to join their London based team.

Position Overview:

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and submitting VAT returns and related documentation for the UK and European jurisdictions. You will ensure adherence to local VAT laws, support audit activities, and assist with ongoing compliance initiatives. There is also potential to gain exposure to VAT procedures in the APAC region by collaborating with regional teams and external advisers.

Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for someone with a minimum of 1 year of experience in VAT compliance or related financial roles. You should be organised, proactive, and eager to develop your understanding of VAT processes. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work accurately within compliance frameworks are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit VAT returns for the UK and European regions accurately and on time.
• Support VAT administration activities, including managing notices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external advisers to gather data and ensure compliance.
• Assist with VAT audits and respond to compliance enquiries.
• Contribute to ongoing VAT compliance projects and process improvements.
• Reconcile VAT accounts and identify discrepancies or potential issues.
• Analyse financial data to support accurate VAT reporting.
• Build and maintain relationships with regional teams and external contacts to facilitate compliance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in VAT compliance, tax administration, or a similar role.
• Good understanding of VAT regulations within the UK and Europe; interest in expanding to APAC is a plus.
• Experience working with ERP systems is desirable.
