Job summary

Ford & Stanley Select in Milton Keynes is seeking an experienced Indirect Procurement Manager to lead the procurement of indirect goods and services. You will develop supplier relationships, drive cost-saving initiatives and manage a small procurement team.

The role blends strategic sourcing with day-to-day operations, requiring strong negotiation skills, ERP experience (SAP or similar), and a track record of delivering value improvements within engineering or manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in Procurement, Purchasing, or Supply Chain.
• Experience leading or managing a procurement team.
• Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience.
• Experience using SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Formal qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to identify and deliver cost-saving initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Indirect Procurement Team.
• Develop procurement strategies to support business objectives.
• Manage supplier selection, sourcing activities, tenders, and contract negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify and deliver cost reduction and value improvement opportunities.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance and service levels.
• Oversee procurement activities through SAP or a similar ERP system.
• Manage purchase orders, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Ensure timely contract renewals and supplier compliance.
• Support operational teams by ensuring the effective supply of indirect goods and services.
• Produce procurement reports and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the procurement function.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and audit requirements.
