Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Buyer in Milton Keynes for a permanent, immediate-start role. You will manage timely, cost-effective procurement from approved and new suppliers, negotiate commercial agreements and drive value across cost, quality, delivery and service.

You will identify risks, build supplier relationships, benchmark performance, and push continuous improvement across the supplier base to achieve optimal total cost of ownership.

Qualifications

• Proven purchasing/procurement experience.
• Strong negotiation and commercial skills.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Experience managing supplier performance.
• Knowledge of sourcing, benchmarking and cost analysis.
• Excellent communication and networking skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop suppliers to meet business needs.
• Assess supply chain risks and implement mitigation plans.
• Monitor supplier KPIs and drive improvement.
• Manage supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and service.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Benchmark suppliers and analyse market trends for value and TCO.
• Lead RFQs and support supplier selection.
• Ensure requisitions are defined and fulfilled efficiently.
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure supply continuity and on-time delivery.
