GENERAL SUMMARY

The Indirect, Facilities and Logistic Buyer is responsible for managing indirect purchase orders from request through receipt. The role involves addressing supplier performance issues and introducing new providers to meet business needs. Travel up to 12 days per year within the UK may be required.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

• Manage all indirect purchase orders from request to receipt.
• Identify needs and expectations for indirect requirements and take appropriate actions.
• Manage framework-related purchase orders and indirect spend contracts, including logistics and service providers.
• Address poor supplier/provider performance promptly.
• Introduce new providers to meet business requirements.
• Reduce product and service costs to the lowest practical level.
• Maintain up-to-date SAP and supplier records.
• Resolve invoice-related issues efficiently.
• Handle supplier rework and credit requirements.
• Assist with direct spend activities as needed.
• Manage logistics providers and internal/external delivery expectations.
• Maintain facility asset records and coordinate external contractor activities.
• Ensure safety, quality, and delivery targets are met.
• Follow all relevant policies and procedures.
• Report issues affecting performance promptly.
• Engage actively in internal and external meetings.
• Uphold company values.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• At least 2 years of purchasing/buying experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Office.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
