UNSW is seeking an Indigenous academic leader for the Faculty of Engineering. This identified role welcomes candidates with Indigenous leadership, community connections, and experience in teaching, research, or curriculum development. Appointment levels range from Lecturer to Professor, with potential part-time Associate Dean leadership.

Flexible working options are available; salary packages reflect Level B–E scales, with superannuation and leave loading. Applications close 13 October 2026.

• Indigenous identity, cultural knowledge, lived experience, and community connection.
• Leadership experience in higher education, education, community, government, industry, not-for-profit, or related sectors.
• Passion for advancing Indigenous student success, engagement, and participation.
• Experience developing programs, initiatives, curriculum, partnerships, or community-led outcomes.
• Strong relationship-building, consultation, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills.
• Strategic thinking and ability to translate vision into meaningful outcomes.
• Teaching, research, curriculum development, leadership, or professional practice is valued but not essential.
• PhD or Masters welcomed as a qualification.
