Job summary

UNSW invites applications for an identified Indigenous academic leader to join the Faculty of Engineering. Appointment may range from Lecturer (Level B) to Professor (Level E), with potential for a part-time Associate Dean role alongside an academic appointment.

The opportunity welcomes candidates with Indigenous leadership, cultural knowledge, lived experience, and strong engagement with students and communities. Applicants from diverse backgrounds are encouraged.

Qualifications

• This is an identified position requiring Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status.
• Experience in higher education leadership or related sectors is preferred.
• Demonstrated Indigenous leadership, cultural knowledge, or community connections.

• Provide leadership to advance Indigenous initiatives within the Faculty of Engineering.
• Embed Indigenous knowledges and strengthen student success and engagement.
• Develop partnerships with community, government, industry and non-profits.
