Job summary

Bloomberg's Legal, Compliance, and Risk team in London is seeking a Compliance Officer with experience in indices and benchmarks to join the global Index Compliance group. The role focuses on BISL activities, regulatory governance, and ensuring adherence to BMR and IOSCO standards across markets.

You will partner with legal and business stakeholders, develop and implement compliance policies, and provide second-line advisory support to the index business.

Qualifications

• Good working knowledge of indices and financial benchmarks.
• Experience with UK/EU index regulation, BMR and IOSCO principles.
• Ability to draft policies and report to regulatory bodies.

Responsibilities

• Act as second line of defence in a dynamic business.
• Provide advisory compliance services to index business.
• Review benchmark methodologies, disclosures, and marketing content.
• Implement controls for regulatory requirements for benchmarks and indices.
• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives.
