Job summary

Leaders in Care is recruiting an Independent Reviewing Officer for a children’s service in North Wales. You will chair looked-after children’s reviews, ensuring meaningful participation from children and young people.

Scrutinise care plans and monitor progress towards safe, stable and lasting outcomes. The role requires a qualified social worker with Welsh registration, substantial post-qualifying experience in statutory services, and strong ability to chair complex meetings with evidence-based

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with current Social Care Wales registration or eligibility.
• Substantial post-qualifying experience in statutory children’s services.
• Experience as an IRO or senior-level reviewing and quality assurance.
• Strong knowledge of Welsh legislation and guidance for looked-after children.
• Confident in chairing complex meetings with evidence-based challenge.
