Job summary

Bolton Council is seeking a Children’s Independent Reviewing Officer to chair and facilitate Looked After Reviews and conferences. The role requires a qualified social worker with at least 5 years post-qualification experience in childcare settings and preferable IRO/CPCC exposure.

The post involves leading multi-disciplinary teams, preparing plans with families, and ensuring effective participation by children in decision-making processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years post-qualification experience in childcare settings.
• IRO/CPCC experience would be advantageous.
• Experience with multi-disciplinary teams and information sharing for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage your own resources.
• Work within multi-disciplinary teams, networks and systems.
• Manage, present and share information and reports to support decision making.
• Lead, chair and facilitate meetings.
• Implement and monitor quality assurance systems.
• Provide leadership in your area of responsibility.
