Job summary

With You in Wigan is seeking an Independent Prescriber to join our clinical team serving local communities. The role involves assessing and prescribing for clients, with a focus on harm reduction and integrated care. Training will be provided on the job, and we welcome prescribers new to addiction treatment.

The successful candidate will be a registered nurse or pharmacist with prescriber status, demonstrate OST prescribing experience, and participate in multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse or pharmacist with independent prescriber status.
• Experience in opioid substitution treatment and community care.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and professional development.

Responsibilities

• Assess and prescribe in community settings as an independent prescriber.
• Provide harm reduction and education on substance misuse.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and external agencies.
• Stay up-to-date with prescriber developments and guidelines.
• Complete training on the job to support service delivery.
