Job summary

Waythrough is recruiting an Independent Prescriber to deliver clinical and prescribing services within our Criminal Justice drug and alcohol service at Forward Leeds - Armley Court. You will provide evidence-based treatment, including prescribing (including controlled drugs), clinical assessments, and recovery-focused care across hub and outreach settings.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering safe, effective care in line with governance standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse or Pharmacist with an Independent Prescriber qualification and RCGP Level 1.
• Experience delivering substance misuse treatment and strong harm reduction knowledge.
• Confident working in primary care and criminal justice settings.

Responsibilities

• Undertake clinical assessments and prescribe in line with best practice.
• Develop and review person-centred care plans.
• Deliver BBV testing, immunisation, harm reduction interventions and liaise with pharmacists/GPs.
