Brent Council is seeking an Independent Person to provide independent professional expertise and constructive challenge across investment, governance, funding and administration of the Brent Pension Fund. The role is advisory, non-voting, and supports the Pension Fund Sub-Committee and Board in a governance capacity.

The appointment is fixed for 3 years, with approximately 15 days per year commitment. Candidates should have pensions experience or relevant qualifications (PMI/APPT).

Qualificações

• Significant pensions experience or relevant professional qualifications/accreditation.
• Experience with LGPS or public sector pensions considered.
• Ability to analyse complex investment, funding, governance and administration matters.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to members and stakeholders.
• Demonstrate independence and integrity in decision making.

Responsabilidades

• Provide independent professional expertise, scrutiny and constructive challenge.
• Work with Pension Fund Sub-Committee and Pension Board to support governance.
• Provide objective challenge on strategies, performance, risk and governance.
• Communicate complex information clearly to stakeholders and maintain independence.
