Brent Council is seeking an Independent Person to provide expert scrutiny and constructive challenge across investment, governance and administration for the Brent Pension Fund. The role works with the Pension Fund Sub-Committee, Pension Board and advisers to support governance and regulatory compliance in ongoing LGPS reforms.

It is advisory and non-voting with no delegated decision-making authority. The successful candidate will bring substantial pensions experience or relevant professional

Qualifications

• Significant pensions experience or relevant professional qualifications or accreditation (PMI; APPT) are required.

Responsabilités

• Provide independent professional expertise, scrutiny and constructive challenge across investment, governance, funding and administration.
• Support effective governance, regulatory compliance and LGPS reforms.
• Communicate complex information clearly to members and stakeholders.
• Maintain professional independence while building relationships with the Pension Fund Sub-Committee, Pension Board and advisers.
