Job summary

Homecare Direct Limited in Preston is seeking a compassionate Support Worker to provide 1:1 daily living support for a client with learning disabilities and epilepsy. You’ll assist with daily routines, personal care, and medication administration while promoting independence and safety.

You will help the client participate in community activities such as drives, parks and shopping trips, supporting their wellbeing and overall quality of life. Training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

• Eligible to work in the UK.
• Care experience preferred.
• Calm, observant and responsive.
• Committed to providing safe, respectful and consistent support.
• Knowledge of epilepsy and learning disabilities is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 support with daily routines and activities.
• Personal care support.
• Supporting with medication administration.
• Seizure awareness and support in line with care plan.
• Supporting community access, including drives, parks and shopping trips.
• Encouraging independence and engagement in activities.
• Promoting safety, wellbeing and consistency of care.
