Job summary

Pin Point Healthcare in Newcastle is seeking Personal Assistants to support adults to live independently in their own homes and communities. The role offers a permanent contract with shifts 30 or 35 hours per week, and 24-hour on-call support.

Training and development, enhanced DBS, and pension are provided. Typical duties include personal care, cooking, cleaning, shopping, and helping clients access activities.

Qualifications

• Previous care or support experience is beneficial but not essential.
• A Level 2 Health & Social Care qualification is desirable, but we are equally interested in candidates with the right values and attitude.
• A good communicator is important.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Committed to promoting dignity, choice and independence.

Responsibilities

• Providing person-centred support based around each individual's needs, preferences and goals.
• Supporting independence, choice and everyday living skills.
• Providing personal care where required.
• Helping with cooking, cleaning, shopping and household tasks.
