Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking an Equipment Installation Technician to install and adapt standard and bespoke minor equipment in service users’ homes, under guidance from health professionals. You will receive full training and support to enhance your practical skills as you help vulnerable people live independently across Hampshire.

You’ll drive a Council vehicle, manage your workload, and demonstrate safe use, maintenance and cleaning of equipment to service users, carers and healthcare

Qualifications

• Valid full driving licence with manual transmission
• Knowledge of building skills, operating small workshop machinery and power tools
• Commitment to values: compassion, empathy and respect
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Physically able to move equipment up to 25kg

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and collect standard and bespoke equipment in service users’ homes across Hampshire.
• Demonstrate safe use, maintenance and cleaning of equipment to service users, carers and healthcare professionals.
• Efficiently manage and schedule your own workload.
• Lift and move equipment weighing up to 25KG
