Job summary

DASU North Wales is recruiting an Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) for Gwynedd and Anglesey. The role focuses on safeguarding survivors and coordinating support services with partners.

You will conduct risk assessments, develop personalised safety plans, provide emotional and practical support, and attend multi-agency meetings to advocate for clients. A commitment to attaining IDVA qualification is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience working in domestic violence support or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a caseload.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality support and advocacy to survivors of domestic violence.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop individualised safety plans.
  • Liaise with other agencies and professionals to coordinate support services.
  • Offer emotional support and practical advice to empower survivors.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings and contribute to case management.
