Job summary

Ernst & Young is seeking an Assistant Director for the UK Independence team within the Risk Management function in London. The role involves interpreting Independence requirements, advising on compliant service structuring, and leading initiatives to strengthen the operating model.

You will interact with senior stakeholders and drive regulatory alignment across services. You will work with Service Line Leadership, Quality teams and client partners to deliver timely, commercially informed

Qualifications

Experience in a Risk Management function, ideally with Independence or related regulatory exposure.
Strong commercial awareness with ability to engage with the business as a second‑line function.
Ability to interpret Independence requirements and tailor practical guidance.

Responsibilities

Interpret Independence requirements across complex scenarios and advise on service structuring.
Develop and oversee safeguards to support compliant service delivery.
Ensure Independence consultations are sound, timely and well documented.
Support Independence compliance monitoring and use of related tools.
Lead on Independence projects and promote continuous improvement.
