Job summary

EY in Belfast is expanding the UK Personal Independence function within the Risk Management group. The Senior Associates will support Partners and professionals to ensure independence policies meet regulatory requirements, across internal and external guidance.

These permanent, full-time roles will be based in Belfast, with some travel to London. Prior independence experience is desirable but not essential, reporting to the Personal Independence Manager in Belfast.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Risk Management environment.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deliver messages to EY employees and Partners at all levels.
• Strong analytical and interpretation skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and guidance to EY’s internal Partners and employees in respect of the Independence aspects related to their personal financial investments and financial relationships.
• Analysing individuals’ financial holdings and relationships to determine if they and EY are independent under the relevant EY internal policy and external regulations.
• Assisting Managers and Senior Managers in operating key processes and assessing the Independence impact of certain financial and other relationships with EY audit clients.
• Assisting with the firm’s Annual and Quarterly Independence Confirmation process.
• Providing support to the senior members of the team in respect of internal and external regulatory reviews and inspections.
• Collaborate with the existing London-based Personal Independence team and be focused on great teaming.
• Assist with the training of new joiners to the team on the Personal Independence systems and processes.
• Act as a role-model for Associates in the team.
