Help Change a Young Person’s Future
We’re launching Intandem Dumfries & Galloway and we’re looking for someone exceptional to join us.
Intandem is Scotland’s national mentoring programme for children and young people in care, at risk of care, and, in Dumfries & Galloway, young people living in kinship care.
We’re looking for a passionate, relationship-focused Intandem Coach to help children and young people build confidence, resilience and brighter futures through the power of trusted relationships.
You’ll work directly with young people, kinship carers and volunteer mentors, helping create mentoring relationships that make a real difference.
You’ll build trust, champion young people’s strengths, connect them with opportunities, and help ensure every child has the support they need to thrive.
This is a part time role working 10 hours per week with funding in place for three years.
Help launch a brand-new service across Dumfries & Galloway.
Join an established organisation supporting children, young people and families.
Work as part of a supportive team delivering Family Support, Emotional Health & Wellbeing, Parent Carer, Short Breaks and Youth Housing Support Services.
Shape a service that reaches communities across the region, including rural and remote areas.
We warmly encourage applications from people with lived experience of kinship care and recognise the valuable insight and understanding this can bring to the role.
Interviews will be held face to face on Thursday 5th or Friday 6th November in Quarriers Stranraer or Dumfries office.
Every young person deserves someone in their corner. With Intandem, you will help children and young people in kinship care connect with a trusted mentor who believes in them, champions their potential and walks alongside them for as long as they need
Please note: Quarriers cannot guarantee visa sponsorship for this role. Candidates must have the right to work in the UK or be able to secure this independently.
