• Maintain records and produce required reports.
• Provide advice on tenancy obligations and welfare reform.
• Prepare court documentation and support legal proceedings when necessary.
• Work towards income collection targets and team performance.

Key Responsibilities of the Income Recovery Officer role:

• Manage rent arrears and debt recovery cases, negotiating repayment arrangements with customers.
• Proactively contact customers to resolve debt issues and maximise income collection.
• Investigate disputed debts and undertake debt recovery initiatives.
• Assess customer affordability and refer customers to appropriate support services.
• Maintain accurate records and produce reports where required.
• Provide advice on tenancy obligations, arrears management, and welfare reform.
• Prepare court documentation and support legal proceedings where necessary.
• Work towards income collection targets and contribute to team performance objectives.

Requirements of the Income Recovery Officer role include:

• Previous experience in income collection, debt recovery, arrears management, housing, or credit control.
• Knowledge of housing law and debt recovery processes, including court procedures.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to manage a busy workload and work independently.
• Experience providing advice and support to customers.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.

• £16.06 per hour
• Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm
• 36.25 hours per week
