Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Income Auditor to join our finance team in Doha, Qatar. As an Income Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data, contributing to the overall financial health of our organization.

  • Verify daily revenue: Conduct thorough checks of daily income generated across all departments, including rooms, restaurants, and other services.
  • Reconcile financial reports: Compare daily cash reports from various points of sale with the management system and actual transactions.
  • Identify discrepancies: Detect and investigate any variances or anomalies in sales, payments, or discounts.
  • Prepare financial reports: Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly revenue reports to assess departmental performance.
  • Ensure proper revenue allocation: Verify that all income is recorded in the correct accounts.
  • Monitor internal procedures: Oversee compliance with billing, cash handling, and closing procedures.
  • Detect potential fraud: Identify and report any suspicious activities or policy violations.
  • Validate transactions: Review and confirm the legitimacy of discounts, cancellations, and refunds.
  • Support audit processes: Prepare necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with various departments such as reception, accounting, food and beverage, and sales to improve control processes.
  • Maintain compliance: Ensure adherence to accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar income auditing role
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing procedures
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is preferred but not required
  • Familiarity with financial management systems and software
