Job summary

Brough Primary School, part of East Riding of Yorkshire Council, is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a warm, inclusive team. The role supports learning across classes, with opportunities to work across phases and with pupils with diverse needs, including SEND, under the guidance of teachers.

We value patient, collaborative staff who communicate well, build positive relationships with pupils and families, and are committed to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children; school-based experience desirable but not essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils.
• Ability to support pupils with SEND, social–emotional needs, or learning challenges.

Responsibilities

• Support teaching and learning under the direction of class teachers and leaders.
• Work with individuals and small groups to help children make progress.
• Contribute to creating a positive, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
• Assist with planning, preparation and delivery of tailored activities.
• Support pupils with SEND and other needs as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the school.
