Job summary

Lift Berkeley Primary School is seeking two teaching assistants to join our friendly team. One role will provide 1-1 support and another will assist whole-class learning, helping pupils access the curriculum with confidence.

You'll work alongside teachers to plan, deliver and assess lessons, building independence, self-esteem and inclusive practice across the year group. A calm, patient approach and good GCSEs in Maths and English are required.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or above) or equivalent.
• Willing to work towards functional skills.
• Good communication skills and a calm approach in diverse situations.

Responsibilities

• Understand students’ learning needs, including SEND, so they can access lesson content and achieve learning goals.
• Work with teachers to plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons.
• Guide individual and small group sessions within agreed plans.
• Build positive relationships with students and support positive behaviours.
• Support the social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing of all students.
• Work with teaching staff, pastoral staff, the SENDCO and parents or carers to support every student.
