Job summary

Watford FC Community Sports & Education Trust is seeking an enthusiastic inclusive sports coach to deliver MEPC sessions at Meriden Community Centre, focusing on Pan-Disability participation. You will plan and run weekly football and multisport activities for ages 8-17 and adults 18+, creating a safe, welcoming environment while supporting physical and mental wellbeing.

This is a casual, zero-hour role with evening sessions; prior coaching experience with SEN is valued.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the Trust commitment to EDI & Safeguarding
• Introduction to coaching football or equivalent
• In-date First Aid and safeguarding qualifications
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated to make a difference within the community.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver fun, interactive and engaging football and multisport activities to young people aged 8-17 and adults 18+ with SEN/Pan-Disabilities.
• Provide a safe, inclusive and fun environment for participants to meet new friends, develop skills and improve their mental and physical wellbeing.

Summary of Your Role

Making Every Player Count’s (MEPC) is a new Trust programme funded by the Premier League Foundation. The role will be offering weekly, inclusive football sessions, providing accessible, Pan-Disability opportunities for participants to engage in regular physical activity within a supportive and welcoming environment.

Your Roles and Responsibilities, but Not Limited To

• Plan and deliver fun, interactive and engaging football and multisport activities to young people aged 8-17 and adults 18+ with SEN/Pan- Disabilities.
• Provide a safe, inclusive and fun environment for participants to meet new friends, develop skills and improve their mental and physical wellbeing.

You Must Have

• Understanding of the Trust commitment to EDI & Safeguarding
• Introduction to coaching football or equivalent
• In- date First Aid and safeguarding qualifications
• Enthusiastic and self- motivated to make a difference within the community.

You Ideally Would Have

• Some experience in working with SEN & Pan disability participants in the sports sector.
• Understand the importance of and delivering best practice when working with SEN & PAN disability participants.
