Job summary

Solihull College & University Centre is seeking an Additional Needs Support Tutor to provide targeted support to students with additional needs across a range of full- and part-time courses. The role requires innovation, organization and strong communication skills within a further education setting.

The successful candidate will assess and implement support strategies, deliver exam access arrangements, and assist in progression to further assessment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
• Experience teaching or supporting students with additional needs in FE.
• Experience writing EHCPs and individual support plans.
• Willingness to work toward Level 5 teaching qualification.

Responsibilities

• Support students with additional needs across courses.
• Assess, implement, and monitor support strategies.
• Complete exam access arrangements.
• Provide one-to-one support outside class for post-16 students.
• Help implement EHCPs and write individual support plans.
