Job summary

Ravens Academy in Tendring is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to aid the learning of individual SEND pupils across all subjects, as directed by the Class Teacher/SENCO.

You will assist pupils individually or in small groups, supervise during lessons and breaks, and help implement individualized education programmes while maintaining an inclusive classroom. Staff meetings and PD sessions are expected.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or higher.
• Experience with children, including those with SEND.
• Excellent communication and ability to relate well to children and adults.
• Flexible, dedicated, and hardworking.

Responsibilities

• Assist pupils to learn effectively, individually or in small groups.
• Supervise and organise pupils during lessons and breaks.
• Support the Class Teacher and SENCO with individualized education programmes.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions.
