Job summary

King’s Academy Northern Parade (Infant) is seeking a caring Learning Support Assistant to help every pupil access learning, develop confidence and thrive. You will work closely with teachers and the school team to support pupils in the classroom and provide targeted 1:1 or small-group help, promoting inclusion and a positive sense of belonging.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or supporting children with SEND is an advantage, but not essential.
• We value the right mindset, attitude and passion for helping children succeed.
• Strong, respectful relationships are the foundation of learning and development.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the classroom alongside the class teacher.
• Provide 1:1 support to children with additional needs.
• Work with small groups to boost learning, confidence and independence.
• Help build positive relationships and a strong sense of belonging.
• Support children to overcome barriers to learning and participate fully in school life.
• Contribute to a nurturing, inclusive environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.
