Job summary

Ingeus is seeking an Employment Specialist to help people with disabilities and long-term health conditions build confidence and secure sustainable employment in Skelmersdale. The role involves personalised support, employer engagement and a Connect to Work approach.

Salary is £31,000 per annum with regular travel around the area and a Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm pattern. You’ll work to engage employers, assess clients and build strong partnerships to create opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on, proactive and flexible approach to support individuals to secure and retain sustainable employment.
• Strong partnerships with local support organisations to provide seamless support.
• Managing a small caseload with tailored one-to-one employment support.
• Experience in engaging with employers and community organisations.
• Ability to deliver disability awareness to employers for inclusive workplaces.

Responsibilities

• Client Assessment: support individuals with complex challenges to secure employment.
• Build partnerships with local support organisations and co-locate for seamless support.
• Manage a small caseload and provide tailored job search assistance.
• Employer Engagement: establish and maintain relationships to create job opportunities.
• Deliver disability awareness to employers to foster inclusive workplaces.
