Job summary

Epping Forest District Council Disability Inclusion Team is recruiting casual Community Activity Leaders to support and lead activities for children and young people with SEND across sport, arts and crafts, after-school clubs, holiday programmes, day trips and wellbeing sessions. Shifts are flexible and can cover term time, school holidays, evenings, weekends or occasional sessions, with no set hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, young people or community groups.
• Understanding of SEND and neurodiversity, or willingness to learn.
• Enhanced DBS check required.
• Ability to travel to activities across work areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver inclusive, engaging activities for children and young people
• Support or lead sports and physical activities
• Run arts and crafts sessions
• Support after-school clubs and holiday programmes
• Support day trips and community events
• Run wellbeing and social activities
• Create safe, welcoming experiences where every child and young person feels valued and included
