Job summary

St Peter's Collegiate Academy in Wolverhampton is seeking an energetic and dedicated Safeguarding and Family Support Officer to help students overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. You will join a team passionate about improving attendance and raising standards, working with families at school and in the community, and ensuring safeguarding, DBS checks, and compliance are in place.

Responsibilities

• Address the needs of children and families to overcome barriers to learning inside and outside school.
• Support students to achieve full potential and improved attendance.
• Assist safeguarding and welfare procedures, including DBS checks and compliance as required.

Job description

To be successful in this role you will need to be energetic, enthusiastic and determined to support a range of students within our academy.

You will be joining a team passionate about our students and the high expectations needed for our students to flourish.

Purpose of role:

To address the needs of children and families who need help to overcome barriers to learning both inside and outside school in order to achieve their full potential and enable school to raise standards of achievement and to use specialist knowledge and experience to support students and families to ensure at least good attendance at school, and tackle barriers to attending.

This post is Permanent, Term time Only + 6 days, 35 hours per week.
