Job summary

Charles Darwin Primary School and Nursery is part of Inspiration Trust in Norwich and seeks an enthusiastic Inclusion Assistant. This 21-hour-per-week, fixed-term role supports the Inclusion Lead and helps pupils overcome barriers to learning.

The post runs 39 weeks per year, based at 81 Rose Lane, and requires GCSE Maths and English or NVQ Level 2, STEPS training, first aid, and data recording skills. Benefits include LGPS, health plan, cycle-to-work, parking, and induction.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English or NVQ Level 2 equivalent.
• Experience with pupils in learning environments and supporting behaviour.
• Experience dealing with parents/public and stakeholders.
• STEPS trained or willing to undertake training.
• First aid certificate and data recording experience.

Responsibilities

• Support an inclusive culture and help pupils fulfil potential.
• Support vulnerable pupils to meet needs and progress.
• Deliver targeted activities to small groups or individuals.
• Liaise with senior team, Inclusion lead, PSA, teachers and staff.
• Engage external agencies and attend meetings as needed.
