Job summary

Broadoak Academy in Weston-super-Mare is seeking an Inclusion Supervisor to support students facing barriers to learning and help them engage positively with their education. You will manage behaviour in the inclusion provision, work with staff and families, and foster a calm, supportive environment that enables all learners to reflect, re-engage and succeed both inside and outside the classroom.

The role is full-time, 37 hours per week, term time plus inset days, with a fixed term contract

Job Title: Inclusion Supervisor

Actual Annual Salary: £25,527 - £27,519 (Based on hours and week worked)

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £29,812 – £32,138 (CLF Grade C) Based on full time hours, all year round.

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract

Contract Length: Fixed Term until 31 August 2027

Hours: 37 hours per week - Full Time, Term Time Only plus Inset days

Potential Start Date: 23 November 2026 (Subject to completion of pre-employment checks)

An opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of young people at Broad Oak Academy, supporting students to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

As Inclusion Supervisor, you will play an important role within the academy's Inclusion Team, supporting students who require additional guidance to engage positively with their learning. Working closely with staff, students and families, you will help provide a supportive and inclusive environment that enables all students to succeed.

You will be responsible for managing behaviour and supporting learning within the academy's behaviour rooms, supervising students within the inclusion provision and helping them to remain engaged with their education. Through a calm and consistent approach, you will support students to reflect on their choices, re-engage with learning, and develop positive behaviours that enable them to succeed both in and out of the classroom.

By building strong relationships and providing consistent support, you will contribute to improving student outcomes, promoting inclusion, and fostering a positive learning culture across the academy.

About you:

You will:

• Hold GCSEs (or equivalent qualifications) in English and Mathematics at Grade C/4 or above.
• Have experience of working with young people in an educational or support setting.
• Be committed to improving the life chances of all students, particularly those facing barriers to learning.
• Be able to build positive and professional relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
• Be confident in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning and engage positively with education.
• Demonstrate resilience, empathy, and professionalism when working in a fast-paced environment.
• Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be organised, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Understand the importance of safeguarding and be committed to promoting the welfare of children and young people.
• Be committed to equality, inclusion, and supporting every student to achieve their potential.
