Job summary

William Lovell Church of England Academy is seeking a dedicated pastoral support role to manage on-call rotas, respond to behaviour incidents, and apply restorative approaches to maintain a safe learning environment. The postholder will work closely with the Headteacher and SLT to support students and staff across the school day.

Responsibilities include co-ordinating PSP/BOSS reviews, logging incidents, and assisting with transitions, reintegration, and safeguarding procedures in line with LAAT

Qualifications

• Experience applying de-escalation strategies in a school setting.
• Ability to implement restorative approaches to repair relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate on-call rotas across the school with Headteacher and SLT.
• Support PSP and BOSS reviews and respond to on-call requests.
• Respond to behaviour incidents on call or in allocated areas.
• Apply de-escalation strategies to restore calm and safety.
• Support reintegration after incidents and tailor behaviour plans.
• Log incidents accurately on the school behaviour system.
• Liaise with Aspirational Leads and SLT regarding concerns.
• Assist with supervision during transitions and breaks.
