Job summary

Derby College Group is seeking an Inclusion Job Coach to join our Pathways team based at the Broomfield Hall campus. You will support students to overcome barriers and progress toward employment through tailored coaching, mentoring and practical help, in collaboration with teachers, employers and external partners.

You will build relationships, promote confidence, and help students access work experience, supported internships and paid opportunities, while upholding Equality Act 2010 and

• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Willingness to work towards a relevant qualification.

Derby College Group (DCG) are recruiting an Inclusion Job Coach to join our incredible Pathways team, based at our iconic Broomfield Hall campus

The Opportunity

This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real and lasting difference to the lives of students by supporting them to overcome barriers and achieve their employment goals. You will build meaningful relationships with students, providing tailored coaching, mentoring and practical support to help them develop their confidence, skills and independence. Working alongside teachers, employers and external partners, you will play a key role in creating positive employment pathways, securing valuable work experience and Supported Internships, and helping students take their next step towards sustainable, paid employment and long-term success in the workplace.

About you

We’re looking for a compassionate, organised and student-focused individual who is passionate about supporting young people with disabilities and barriers to employment. You will have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, employers and external stakeholders. You will have knowledge and understanding of the Equality Act 2010, SEND reforms, Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and inclusive practices for students with learning difficulties and disabilities. You will also have strong organisational and administrative skills, alongside a relevant Level 3 or 4 learning support/teaching qualification (or a willingness to work towards one) and Level 2 qualifications in Maths and English.
