Job summary

Waingels College is seeking an enthusiastic Intervention & Inclusion Para‑Educator to join our Inclusion & Intervention Team. Under the direction of the SENCO, you will deliver high‑quality support, maintain a positive learning environment and help uphold high behaviour and progress expectations.

Qualifications

• 5 GCSEs including English & Maths (C/4+).
• A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
• Experience working with children or young people.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Professionalism, confidentiality and safeguarding awareness.

Responsibilities

• Support students through one-to-one and small-group intervention work
• Assist teachers in preparing, delivering and monitoring personalised learning activities
• Contribute to behaviour support and student engagement
• Provide short-term classroom cover and supervise work as directed
• Assist with classroom organisation, resources, record-keeping and admin tasks
• Support students during social times in a safe, inclusive environment
• Work with staff, parents and professionals in the learning journey
