Job summary

Briarwood School in Bristol is seeking an Inclusion Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex SEND through Briarwood Reach & Connect. The role focuses on pastoral support, attendance, behaviour, and facilitating reintegration into education.

Successful candidates will work with Briarwood Reach & Connect staff to implement best practice, build positive relationships with pupils and families, and contribute to a high-quality, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS clearance required.
• Full-time permanent post; 32.5 hours per week.
• Term time only; 39 weeks (including 5 inset days) with holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality pastoral support and monitor attendance and behaviour.
• Intervene and support pupils to re-engage with education and progress.
• Establish positive relationships with pupils, parents, staff and external agencies in line with Briarwood's vision.
