Job summary

Achieving for Children is recruiting 1 Best Start Inclusion Health Visitor (NHS Band 6 equivalent) based in Maidenhead. The role focuses on improving access to health services for families with children aged 0-5 and those with SEND, working within the health visiting team and with the family hub.

You will provide expert guidance on SEND, supervise targeted nursery staff, and deliver direct family support while collaborating with education and community partners to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level with Specialist Community Public Health Nurse qualification (SCPHN).
• NMC registration (RGN/RMH/RMW) and evidence of continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert guidance and supervision to targeted staff and the health visiting team.
• Undertake direct work with families with a small targeted caseload.
• Collaborate with family hub, health and education to engage community leaders.
• Develop and facilitate health visiting drop-in clinics and health promotion activities.
