Job summary

Hampshire County Council is seeking a School Improvement Manager (Specialist Provision and Inclusion) to lead a countywide team of advisers and drive inclusion across the 0-25 age range. You will champion high-quality provision for learners, especially those with SEND or facing vulnerability, and work with headteachers, governors, and Children's Services to deliver ambitious outcomes.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree-level qualification, ideally with a postgraduate leadership or management qualification.
• Significant senior leadership experience in a school setting with impact in specialist education.
• Proven track record in school improvement, especially for SEND and vulnerable learners.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to a team of school improvement advisers, driving strategic improvement across specialist and alternative provision.
• Champion inclusion and drive strategies to support vulnerable children and those with SEND.
• Influence school leaders to strengthen inclusive practice and improve educational outcomes.
• Build partnerships across education and Children's Services to improve outcomes.
• Evaluate education quality and design professional development to strengthen provision.
