Job summary

Oxfordshire County Council is recruiting for a Communication and Interaction Advisory Support Worker to join the Experts at Hand team. The role focuses on helping mainstream schools develop inclusive practice for children with Communication and Interaction needs, including Autism.

You will work with Specialist Advisory Teachers across primary and secondary schools in Oxfordshire, empowering staff and sharing specialist knowledge to enable pupils to participate, learn and thrive in mainstream

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children and young people with Communication and Interaction needs in educational settings.
• Strong understanding of strategies that promote participation, wellbeing and progress.
• Confident adapting approach to meet different needs and situations.

Responsibilities

• Model effective strategies, coach staff and deliver targeted interventions.
• Support mainstream schools to develop inclusive practices.
• Engage with families and professional partners to ensure joined-up support.
