Oxfordshire County Council, in partnership with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, seeks a Communication and Interaction Advisory Support Worker to help children and young people with communication and interaction differences, including autism, thrive in mainstream education.

You will work with Specialist Advisory Teachers, schools and families to develop inclusive practices that enable participation and confidence.

Job description

Communication and Interaction Advisory Support Worker Join Oxfordshire's Experts at Hand programme and help children and young people with Communication and Interaction needs thrive in mainstream education. As a Communication and Interaction Advisory Support Worker, you will work alongside Specialist Advisory Teachers, schools and families to support children and young people with Communication and Interaction differences, including Autism. Your role will focus on helping schools develop inclusive practices that enable pupils to participate fully in learning, build confidence and achieve positive outcomes. You will work directly with children and young people, model effective strategies, deliver targeted interventions and coach school staff to develop their understanding and expertise. By sharing practical approaches and specialist knowledge, you will help schools strengthen their provision and create environments where children feel understood, valued and supported.
