Job summary

Argyll and Bute Council invites applications for a committed Peripatetic Pupil Support Teacher to join our Inclusion & Equality team in Islay. This role supports pupils with Additional Support Needs to achieve their potential academically, socially and emotionally.

You will work collaboratively with teachers, families and external agencies, provide targeted interventions, and contribute to inclusive practice through coaching and team teaching.

Qualifications

• Experience in education and working with pupils with Additional Support Needs (ASN).
• PVG membership (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide targeted intervention and support for pupils needing ASN.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, pastoral staff, families and external agencies to ensure inclusive practice.
• Support development of inclusive practice through training, coaching and team teaching.
