Job summary

Active Fusion is seeking an Inclusion and Employability Officer to lead and develop inclusive programmes for disadvantaged and disengaged young people. You will build partnerships, create pathways into education, training and employment, and mentor young people to build confidence and resilience.

The role focuses on safeguarding, equality and inclusion, with opportunities for funding development and organisational growth through impact-driven delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering employability, inclusion, youth work, education or community-based programmes.
• Experience working with SEND, AP or PRU settings.
• Experience supporting disadvantaged, vulnerable or disengaged young people.
• Strong project and programme management and data reporting experience.
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Main Purpose of the Role:To lead and develop Active Fusion's inclusion, employability and life skillsprogrammes, supporting disadvantaged, disengaged and vulnerable youngpeople to overcome barriers and achieve positive outcomes. The role will designand deliver impactful programmes, build strategic partnerships, create pathwaysinto education, training, volunteering and employment, and ensure young peopledevelop the confidence, resilience and skills needed to succeed. The postholderwill also contribute to organisational growth through partnership development,funding opportunities and demonstrating programme impact.

About Inclusion and Employability Officer

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, delivery and continuous improvement of inclusion, employability and life skills programmes for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, employers, training providers, local authorities and community organisations to create progression opportunities. Create pathways into education, training, volunteering, apprenticeships and employment, including support for young people who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET. Monitor programme performance, budgets and outcomes, producing reports and evidence of impact. Identify and support funding, commissioning and development opportunities that contribute to organisational growth. Champion inclusion, wellbeing and youth voice, providing mentoring and advocacy to help young people achieve their potential.

Knowledge and Experience Experience delivering employability, inclusion, youth work, education or community-based programmes. Experience working within SEND, Alternative Provision (AP) or Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) settings. Experience working with disadvantaged, vulnerable or disengaged young people. Strong understanding of inclusion, youth development and employability pathways. Experience building and maintaining effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders. Excellent communication, relationship-building and presentation skills. Ability to motivate, mentor and inspire young people from diverse backgrounds. Strong project and programme management skills. Experience collecting, analysing and reporting impact and performance data. Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities. Experience managing budgets and programme resources. Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.

Experience supporting young people who are NEET or at risk of becoming NEET. Experience delivering employability, life skills or youth leadership programmes. Sports Leaders qualification and tutor experience. Experience securing funding, supporting grant applications or delivering commissioned services. Experience in programme monitoring, evaluation and impact measurement. Knowledge of local education, training and employment pathways.
