Tate is seeking an Inbound Sales Specialist in Northampton to convert warm inbound enquiries into loyal, long-term customers. You’ll build relationships, understand needs, quote tailored solutions and guide the sales journey from enquiry to order completion in a consultative, non-pressured environment.

The role is hybrid after probation, with uncapped commission and a supportive team that values growth and long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sales.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Consultative approach to understand customer needs and propose solutions.
• Confident in preparing quotations and closing sales opportunities.
• Commercial awareness with ability to spot growth opportunities.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to develop long-term relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Managing inbound sales enquiries from new customers.
• Preparing quotations and providing tailored product recommendations.
• Guiding customers through the sales journey from initial enquiry to order completion.
• Building strong relationships that encourage repeat business and long-term loyalty.
• Taking transactional customers and developing them into managed accounts.
• Understanding customer challenges and offering consultative solutions.
• Working closely with suppliers, manufacturers and internal teams to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Maintaining accurate records and managing activity through the CRM system.
