Job summary

Our client in West Yorkshire is seeking an In-Work Progression Coach to provide person-centred coaching and practical guidance to individuals who have entered employment through a job placement programme.

Your core focus is to ensure job retention, overcome early employment hurdles, and support participants toward long-term career progression across Leeds, Bradford, Wakefield, Kirklees and Calderdale. This is a permanent, full-time role with flexible hours and location options.

Qualifications

• Proven background as an In-Work Support Officer, Employment Coach, Progress Coach, or Employability Adviser.
• Demonstrated track record of helping individuals sustain employment or navigate workplace challenges within a job placement programme.
• Strong understanding of barriers to employment within welfare-to-work, employability, or UK Government-funded programmes.
• Outstanding communication, mentoring, and relationship-building skills with participants and employers.
• Excellent caseload management, organization, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver continuous 1-to-1 in-work coaching and Information, Advice & Guidance (IAG) to help job placement programme participants adapt to their new workplace.
• Identify early personal, practical, or workplace barriers and put targeted interventions in place to maintain job retention and sustained employment.
• Work with participants to develop essential workplace skills, professional behaviours, and personal confidence.
• Collaborate with employer partners and local stakeholders across the job placement programme to resolve workplace challenges and secure positive outcomes.
• Conduct regular progress reviews and maintain accurate, compliant records of participant milestones and program outcomes.
