Job summary

B&Q Newport is hiring a Customer Advisor on a part-time basis (18 hours per week) for a 3-month fixed-term contract. Shifts run across Monday to Sunday, 6.00am–10.00pm. The role focuses on delivering excellent customer service and will involve stock management, displays setup and store presentation.

You will have training opportunities in paint-mixing and timber cutting, with the aim of providing outstanding advice to customers and helping them complete home improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to learn and helpful to others.
• Able to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Comfortable using new technology and learning new ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and build sales through great service.
• Help with stock management and shelf displays to keep the store looking great.
• Support paint-mixing and timber-cutting training as required.
