Job summary

The Ned in London is seeking an in-room dining waiter to be the friendly face of our guest experience, delivering impeccable service across our 250-bedroom hotel and ten restaurants.

You’ll tailor service to leisure and business guests, answer menu queries, take orders by phone and in person, and ensure presentation meets Ned’s high standards; shifts vary 07:00 start to late finish.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills for in-person and phone queries.

Responsibilities

• Be the main point of contact for guests’ entire visit, tailoring service to deliver exceptional experiences.
• Answer guests' queries using menu knowledge and provide recommendations.
• Visit guests in their rooms to ensure impeccable presentation and a smooth operation.
• Guard food and drink quality and presentation to Ned standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment for guests and colleagues.
• Shifts vary with 07:00 starts or late finishes depending on the restaurant.

In-room dining waiters at The Ned are the smiling faces looking after the guests in our 250-bedroom hotel, serving up a perfectly curated menu made of the best dishes from some of our 10 restaurants - each serving a unique style of cuisine from around the world. We cater to many different types of hotel guests, so you'll be tailoring your service style to delivering the perfect hospitality experience every time - whether that’s looking after a leisure guest, business traveller, VIP, or anything in between.

The Ned and Ned’s Club are a global collection of hotels, clubs, spas, and restaurants for like-minded individuals to meet, work and have a good time.

The Ned launched in 2017 in the heart of the City, in the former Midland Bank headquarters. The Ned City of London houses Ned’s Club - a private members’ space, gym and rooftop - alongside a public spa, a whole floor of event spaces, ten restaurants and bars and 250 hotel bedrooms.

Reporting into the IRD leadership team and as the friendly face of the guest experience you will:

• Be the main point of contact for your guests' entire visit, tailoring your service to deliver the exceptional experiences that The Ned is known for
• Using your unrivalled knowledge of our menus, you'll answer all guests queries and provide recommendations to make sure every guest receives the perfect meal
• You'll be visiting guests in their hotel rooms so you will always be impeccably presented, delivering a slick operation, all with a friendly and open energy
• Be the last guardian of food and drink quality and presentation, never letting anything lower than Ned standards reach our guests
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, protecting our guests and your teammates from any possible harm
• Shifts vary between an 0700 start and a late finish, depending on the restaurant

What you can bring to the role:

• You'll have a fantastic personality, engaging with our customers to give them an exceptional service
• Great all-round food and drinks knowledge is an advantage, but we can teach you everything you need to know about our menus
• You’ll be taking orders and answering guests queries on the phone as well as in person, so an excellent phone manner and communication skills are essential
