Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient, experienced SEND Philosophy Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one tuition in Wokingham. The role focuses on secondary-aged learners, adapting teaching pace and resources to meet individual needs, and supporting with GCSE/A-level content where appropriate.

Ideal candidates will have strong Philosophy knowledge, experience with SEND/SEMH, and the ability to foster confidence and critical thinking in a calm learning environment.

Qualifications

• Strong Philosophy subject knowledge at secondary or post-16 level.
• Experience teaching Philosophy or tutoring is required.
• Experience supporting learners with SEND/SEMH.
• Desirable: one-to-one or personalised educational support.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised one-to-one Philosophy tuition to a secondary-aged learner.
• Support GCSE or A-level content where appropriate.
• Cover topics such as ethics, knowledge, truth, and arguments about God according to learner needs.
• Adapt teaching pace and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Help develop critical thinking, reasoning, analysis and evaluation skills.
• Support revision, exam technique and structured essay writing.
